C’est en 2017, après de nombreuses années d’aventures musicales que Nikk Giggs (chant/guitare) et Stan Blaineau (basse/chœurs) décident de renouer avec leurs premiers amours : le Blues et le Rock des années 60s-70s. Ils contactent rapidement Nicolas Mermoud (batterie/chœurs) et forment MIDNIGHT BURST. Régulièrement accompagnés par l’harmoniciste Vincent Dupuis en concert comme en studio, il devient l'« invité officiel » du groupe.
Le groupe profite de l'arrêt général des concerts en 2020 pour composer leurs premiers titres.
Ils publient deux singles en 2021: Didn't Wake Up This Morning et The Maze.
En 2022, la vie reprend son cours, et MIDNIGHT BURST allie la reprise intensive des concerts avec la suite de l'enregistrement du premier album.

Parallèlement, ils investissent youtube en réalisant une centaine de vidéos cumulant plus de 250 000 vues, avec notamment les participations de Tanguy Kerleroux, Nym Rhosilir, Arthur Dart...

Durant l’écriture de l’album, ils sont lauréats des tremplins Grosses Guitares et Blues à Jarnioux, et font les premières parties de Charlélie Couture, Jessie Lee & The Alchemists, Mister Mat, Riff Wave (Tanguy Kerleroux), 58 Shots.

Aujourd’hui, après plus de 200 concerts, un Crowdfunding réussi et avec à l'aide de leurs partenaires (Savarez, Vikory Drumsticks, Heats, Lutherie Letourneau, Afozic booking), le groupe prépare la sortie de son 1er album A Mazy Night avec Popa Chubby et de Fred Chapellier en invités.
